After over a year of negotiations, Manchester United have finally signed Jadon Sancho for a fee of 90 million euros plus variables.

Earlier in the day, Borussia Dortmund confirmed that an agreement is in place with the Premier League club.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed the news on Thursday, although he wasn’t totally satisfied with the fee that the German club will receive.

“There is an agreement with Manchester United for Sancho,” Watzke said in a press conference.

Fernandinho, 36, said he was motivated to sign another deal after losing last season’s Champions League final.

“In my head and my mind, the job is not done yet,” Fernandinho said. “And so that’s why I decided to stay here another year and try to help the team and the club to achieve the goals that they’re looking for.

In my point of view, we can do that, there’s still places to improve and to get those targets. And obviously, for me and for my family it’s a pleasure to stay in Manchester for one more year.”

04 May: Messi ‘plans to remain at top level for two more years’

There is said to be growing optimism at Camp Nou that Messi will put pen to paper on an extension, but as things stand he is due to become a free agent in under two months’ time.

According to CAT Radio, Barca president Joan Laporta laid out his vision for Barcelona’s future during a meeting at Messi’s house, and the six-time Ballon d’Or wants to be central to the Blaugrana’s success for the next two years.

Messi would then supposedly head to the MLS to finish his glittering career when he turns 36, but Laporta is thought to have left the meeting feeling positive about the club’s chances of keeping Messi on the books for next season.

28 Apr: Tammy Abraham asking price at £40m

Chelsea would reportedly willing to sell Tammy Abraham during this summer’s transfer window if they received an offer in the region of £40m.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues, who continue to be linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland, are open to selling the forward but would demand £40m from interested clubs.

The Englishman still has more than two years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Kane has said that he will always welcome personal awards but has admitted that he is desperate to be a part of a team that wins the biggest trophies in the game.

“Individual awards are great, they are fantastic achievements. When I look back at the end of my career, I will go over it and take in a little bit more,” said Kane after being named the Premier League Player of the Year at the London Football Awards.

“The goal right now as a player is to win team trophies. As much as this [award] is great, I want to be winning the biggest prizes that there is to offer as a team and we are not quite doing that. It is one of those [situations], it is bittersweet. I would rather be winning team trophies and this award. It is what it is.”

Olivier Giroud

24 Apr: Olivier Giroud poised to leave the Chelsea

The France international has struggled for appearances since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard in January.

Giroud’s contract expires in the summer and, according to Calciomercato, he is on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

The report indicates that the 34-year-old’s next destination is likely to be Serie A, with Juventus and Inter Milan previous tipped to make a move.

Despite his lack of starts this season, Giroud still has a respectable 11 goals in all competitions, including six in seven Champions League appearances.
